I thought that I begin brushing his teeth when he reaches one year old. My friend told me that though his primary teeth may be replaced during the early school years by his permanent pearls, still it's important to take care of them now and to establish the habits that will lead him toward a lifetime of dental health. So, what should I do now? Searching google resolved my query....It's confirmed that tooth brushing can begin as soon as those pearly gems have poked through the gums. This is what I'm going to do: Use a clean, damp washcloth, a gauze pad, or a throwaway finger brush to gently wipe clean the first teeth and the front of the tongue, after meals and at bedtime.
