Valentine's Plan

What's our plan this year's Valentine's day? First, we'll greet our grandpa a happy, happy birthday! We can't go out for a date as couple but as a family. That's for sure. We'll go to Lantern festival in Hatyai Municipality Park and visit the newly-built ICE DOME. In there ,there's a reason to hug each other because it's gonna be soooo cold...he..he...It's set on February 13 at 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. We'll eat our dinner over there, take our photos with the lovely lanterns and enjoy the entertainment show they prepared as a part of the celebration of Chinese New Year. On February 14, we'll got to church in the morning and spent the afternoon watching romantic movies while munching on the cassava chips I bought from my co-teacher. What's your plan on Valentine's Day? an entry for

Couples Corner: How do you deal annoying habits of your partner?

I asked my hubby last night of what habit of mine that irritates him. He said he couldn't think one coz he loves the "whole ME" and overlooks those annoying habits of mine so no need to mention. Can you believe that? I know I did some seemingly irritating things but never did I hear my hubby complain. I thank God that He gave me a hubby who accept my irritating habits like being forgetful and the amount of time I spent in getting ready that he will always wait for me. The topic for this week made me ponder of what irritating habits does my partner possessed that provokes me. I could only think of one thing coz the other things is tolerable ( just part and parcel of our relationship ) and doesn't cause serious problem with our relationship. It's about the amount of time spent on playing Sudden Attack or Crazy Taxi 3 rather than with me. It's not always but when he's so engaged with this games , it's hard for him to stop! It sometimes causes friction bet...

Couples Corner: on Shopping

We all gotta shop, but how we shop, and why we shop, varies. I should say my shopping habit stays the same before and after marriage.I love to shop cheap things, maybe because I don't have much to spend...he..he... I could only get designer clothes when they're on sale ( as if I live for sales!?! ). I felt guilty when I spend too much for a "not-so-important" item. Maybe it's the tendency of the eldest of 13 siblings, you always think about your younger brothers and sisters. You wanted to give something when they're in need. That's why I'm thrifty and like to save money. I keep an eye on prices. Even if I like a certain item and the price is way above my budget, I won't buy it. Brand names are not that important to me. I know how to have style without collecting designer tags:) My fave hangout before is at " Puer Thai ". It's a big flea market in Hatyai City which opens every Thursday to Sunday. This is where I bought my inexpensive ...

Couples Corner: the feeling called "Jealousy"

this is the way I confront my hubby when I'm jealous...lol! just kidding...my bro took this shot and commented that the 2nd shot looks like I'm confronting my hubby and that I look like one jealous wife...LOL! (look at the way I cling to my hubby...afraid of losing him!?!) Many people feel jealous from time to time. Jealousy is easy to deal with, once you understand what it's teaching you. I've read somewhere that Jealousy is not the same thing as love. Sometimes, people think that by feeling jealous about someone, they are loving them. Jealousy is not love; it’s the fear and anger of losing love. Jealousy disappears when you are truly loving yourself and others for whatever experience you’re having. In our case, most of our misunderstandings aren’t because of jealousy. Mostly, it’s just a matter of opinion – he likes it and I don’t like…not really that I’m totally disagreeing with him..it’s mostly pretending that I disagree with him so that we’ll have a “lively” discus...

Couples Corner : We 're made for each other

our wedding rings Do you remember my post about the day I met my future mate ( it's more of the day HE met me...he..he...) ? It wasn't really a love at first sight. We simply grow in love on each other. The more I grow in love with him when I came here in Thailand last March 2006 to explore my teaching career. I missed him terribly that I cried day and night longing for his presence. It was then that I decided that I won't hesitate to marry him coz my life lacks its splendor without "Josh" in my life. I dreaded the idea of being hooked with another man other than the love of my life. Things just fall into its places and we agreed through one of our chats that we’ll get married on October 18, 2007 . I went back home on September 2007 and get married at the date we planned at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City . When I uttered "I DO", those are the two of the most important words I had uttered in my entire life. They are timeless and solemn and life-chang...

When Josh meets Jenny

My entry for Couple's Corner is quite late this week because we're in Bangkok for three days. When we got home last Saturday, we had birthday celebration for our baby's first birthday and my father's 51st birthday. My hands are full the past week and the coming weeks..he..he..Thanks for the visit and I'll soon visit you back. taken last year 2002 I was still in 4th year high school when my hubby got attracted on me..LOL! He was on his first year in college and still new to the school whereas I'm already a "veteran" in that school...LOL! It's customary in our school to have a joint flag ceremony with the college students on the first day of class. As the president of the Future Agricultural Homemakers of the Philippines (FAHP), I was assigned to deliver the flag's emblem right after the singing of the national anthem. Those who aren't accustomed to this tradition will have the shock of their lives (LOL!) because you'll be startled to hea...

Couples' Corner #1-Jennie and Josh

I'm Mommy Jennie from Philippines and you can call my hubby Josh (also from Philippines). We're currently living in Hatyai City, Thailand as ESL Teachers. We're entrusted by God to take care of a babbly baby Hyzyd who'll be turning one this month. As of to date, we're married for 1 year, 11 months, 3 weeks and 5 days already and we've been lovers 8 years, 1 month, 1 week and 5 days. We're classmates in college and we knew each other for 4 years before he courted me. The day I agreed to be his girlfriend ended my affiliation to NBSB group (No Boyfriend Since Birth)...he...he...Yeah, he's my first BF and the last and I'm glad for having him. We decided to get married after 6 years of relationship. They said I'm deeply philosophical ...I don't think so, I'm just thoughtful. I tend to analyze every aspect of my life. I'm intuitive and quite introverted. I can't help it but I value your time alone but I'm friendly, charming, and w...
