My new yellow shoes (Hyzyd's version)

Hi, Just this afternoon as my mom and dad went to the photocopy center, they looked for a shoes that is suitable for me-comfy and soft for my cutie feet because they noticed that I already get comfortable with my walker and I love to use it to explore our living room as well as our dining room. Maybe, I'll explore the kitchen and the comfort room if my walker won't stuck on its doors... This is what they got for me!!! I love it because it's so soft and I can't wait for tommorrow!! I'll try it's capacity..he..he..can it cope with my walking adventure?...I just wonder... What can you say about the color? It's sweet right...and I hope it won't look too girly for me and the mickey mouse character is OK for a babbling babe like me..right? Mom and dad looks more excited than me! Look they took picture!!! I look handsome with it..do you agree? Just ignore this if you don't agree...LOL!!! 'till next time folks.... Love, Hyzyd

update of my teeth...

After a month of waiting, you can now see my first tooth:

my babbling babe....

My baby is already six months! He's already a babbling babe. His simple "oohs" and "aaahs" are beginning to morph into vowel-consonant combos, like the heart-melting "da-da" and "ma-ma." I read that at this point of his development he's practicing the mouth movements he'll need to produce real words one day, and building the brain cells that'll help him make the leap from thinking to talking. All those "la-la-la's" and "ah-ga-ga's" are a big step toward real words and conversations, so that's why I listen up and so proud of his accomplishment! To help him boost his language I speak slowly, clearly, and simply,so that he can begin to pick out actual words from the steady stream he's hearing. I emphasize individual words over and over again, especially those for familiar objects: "Let's eat your food . Here is your food, your food is yummy" . I try teaching him simple commands, suc

my little social butterfly

At six months, baby Hyzyd is very energetic and started to crawl his way that's why we spread cushion in our other room to provide a wiggle room for him. Rolling over can be fun for my baby, but it's also nerve-racking for me. I always keep a hand on him during diaper changes, it's very struggling, and I can't never leave him unattended on a bed or any other elevated surface. At this age I noticed that he'll not only tolerates attention from others, he'll often initiate it. I also noticed the beginnings of stranger anxiety but anyone who approaches him with welcoming eyes or a grin delights him and becomes an instant friend. He is beginning to expand his attention-getting repertoire to include more than crying. I notice him wriggling, making noises, blowing "raspberries," and so on. Can't wait for that time that he'll develop a uniquely personal way of letting me know what he thinks, wants, and needs. That would be amazing and at the same time

Food for the week

Hyzyd is already eating 2-3 tablespoons of single-grain cereal a couple of times a day, I now start to introduce vegetables and fruits to him. Because, I'm at home, I'm making my own baby food for the following reasons: 1. I know what's in it, thereby I could ensure healthy and wholesome meals for my baby. 2. I can tailor the texture to my baby's preferences. 3. I can shape my baby's taste and help him learn what fresh foods taste like. This week I started to have the following meal plan: Breakfast : 2 tbsp (25 ml) Infant cereal-Mixed fruit and milk flavor 1/4 cup (50 ml) mango (blended) Snack : his milk Lunch : 1/4 cup carrots (boiled, then blended) Snack : formula feeding on demand Supper : 2 tbsp (25 ml) Infant cereal-Mixed fruit and milk flavor 1/4 cup (50 ml) apples (boiled then blended) Snack : formula feeding on demand Why I choose mango, carrots and apples for this week? Mangoes help the body maintain bowel movement regularity

Hyzyd's Daily Routine

This summer Hyzyd enjoys his daily routine with his mom and dad... In the morning as he wakes up at 6:30 in the morning, he'll play in his cot and mumble some incomprehensible words that only his mom could translate. After awhile, if mom is still sleeping and doesn't attend to his need to poo..he..he..he'll start to whimper and cry out a little bit to let his mom and dad know that he's waken up. When mom hears his cry, mom will get up and prepares his milk because mommy knows Hyzyd is hungry. Mom will greet him "Good morning, baby", his eyes lights up and gives his mom his sweetest smile.... After feeding, Hyzyd is trained to poo...(remember mommy to buy potty for little Hyzyd)....off goes the poopie...After cleaning and changing nappy, the mom and son will go to their chitchat of the day, lead the baby to pray, kiss daddy good morning before going downstairs. Mommy will prepare his cerelac (mixed fruit with milk for this week)...it's still hot, so while

New look of my baby's blog!

Last April 16 as I visited my baby's blog , I saw a message from my cbox that Femikey Designs is offering my baby's blog a free blog makeover! What a privilege! Of all the bloggers out there, she chose me to enjoy the works of her gifted hand in web designing! I can't contain myself...I'm overjoyed! This blog just won a customized layout and now my other blog! It's like " killing " two birds with one stone! he..he..It's a great blessing. This is the lay-out before: Today, when I open my baby's blog this is what welcomes me! Compare the old layout to the new blog layout here. You will see how Femikey Designs did a great job. I Look More Like My Dad!

It's my first time to join this meme. I think its fun! The theme? anything goes!!! so I grab the opportunity and share our family photo. My entry for today is about Look-Alike Meter. We're trying to find out who does Hyzyd look like? Mom or dad? Some says he looks like me, other says he looks more like his dad and others say he looks like his grandpa! LOL! To settle this confusion once and for all we try to use MyHeritage Look-alike Meter. All I do is just upload photos of baby Hyzyd , mine and my hubby in any arrangement. Their cool and free Look-alike Meter utilizes state-of-the-art face recognition technology to determine the resemblance. We get the fact and here's the result: He looks 6% more like his dad! I think this settles the issue...hmmmm. Love to see other Family Foto Fun Friday entries? Click the badge below:

Grumpy baby...

Baby Hyzyd is turning fussy. Maybe because he's having stuffy nose plus the newly-emerging tooth. But, I read that baby's development is now working in your favor when he's/she's fussy: He's increasingly distractible. He is now intensely interested in the world around him, his rapidly evolving brain zeroes in on things that are new and different. So when he's a little cranky, I use his growing interest in novelty to my advantage by making a funny noise, singing a song, gently banging a pot or banging his toys that produce sounds. These ways help me snap him out from his grumpy mood. Look at my tooth!

Mom and Son

Hyzyd at 5 months and 3 weeks!

Hyzyd is getting better at spotting very small objects and tracking things that are moving. At this point, he's able to recognize an object after seeing only part of it — like his favorite toy and peeking out from under a blanket. He can also follow an object out of his view. I notice that he'll reach for a block (or another object) on a table if I hold him close to it, and once he's got one, he may just go after a second.

Hyzyd is ready for a walk!

He's a good boy!

The grandma who babysitted Hyzyd declared that our boy is very , very good boy! He's not a crying baby (of course, he'll cry when hungry and sleepy but not "that" much), not fussy and not a picky eater . She said, if all babies are like him, she would agree to take care 4 babies at a time. Our neighbors love his smile and his eyes (he had curly eyelashes!), his healthy structure and his fair complexion (oh no! he's fairer than me and I look like his nanny...LOL!). Some asked me if he's a girl because she looks soooo beautiful! "No, he's not. He's a BOY!" I would quickly respond. At night, we'll put him to bed between 7-8 pm. He'll just sleep through the night and usually wakes up at 5 pm for his milk..get back to sleep...and wakes up with that gorgeous smile when we greet him "Good morning". He's such a sweet boy! and I agree he's really a good boy! I Thank you Lord for entrusting us this precious baby! Baby Hyzyd is
