When Josh meets Jenny

My entry for Couple's Corner is quite late this week because we're in Bangkok for three days. When we got home last Saturday, we had birthday celebration for our baby's first birthday and my father's 51st birthday. My hands are full the past week and the coming weeks..he..he..Thanks for the visit and I'll soon visit you back. taken last year 2002 I was still in 4th year high school when my hubby got attracted on me..LOL! He was on his first year in college and still new to the school whereas I'm already a "veteran" in that school...LOL! It's customary in our school to have a joint flag ceremony with the college students on the first day of class. As the president of the Future Agricultural Homemakers of the Philippines (FAHP), I was assigned to deliver the flag's emblem right after the singing of the national anthem. Those who aren't accustomed to this tradition will have the shock of their lives (LOL!) because you'll be startled to hea

The birthday celebrants

grandpa and grandson We wanted to celebrate our special days privately (he..he..), simple and with our love ones. When we arrived from Bangkok , it's already October 24 and it's my father's 51st birthday. We decided to prepare something for our birthday celebrants. We let them blow their candles before we cooked everything.LOL! It's a good thing because afterwards when we saw that we cooked more than enough for ourselves, we called up our friends and invited them to celebrate with us. I got so busy that I haven't taken photos afterwards...LOL! Happy birthday Papa Ben and my dear little boy Hyzyd. May you have many more abundant years to come!

Officially a toddler

Who would thought that my baby is already a toddler?..he..he..it seems that time flies so fast and I couldn't yet fully accept the reality that my baby is now a toddler! I thank God for entrusting to us a healthy boy whom we named Hyzvhann Hyzydyll . May he live up to his name and the way God wants him to be. Before his birthday on October 23, he surprised us all with his eagerness to walk in our bedroom. It was on October 18, our second wedding anniversary. My parents and younger sister just arrived from Philippines and we're all busy chatting to each other when he suddenly stand on his own and walk! It was truly a great sight and we considered it as the best gift we received on our wedding anniversary. We went to Bangkok on October 20 to report Hyzyd's birth to the embassy as well as to process his passport. I also took the time to renew my passport and follow-up my teacher's license at Teacher's Council of Thailand. We booked at NASA Vegas Hotel . as always Hyzyd

We're back with a toddler!

He's celebrating his birthday while we have our 12-hour travel from Bangkok to Hatyai. Yesterday was my father's birthday and we're glad that he's here with us together with my mother and our youngest . We prepared something for the both of them, invited our friends and what a great day we had! I gonna post some photos later on. I'm still too busy with other things. I missed the Couple's Corner MEME, too. This is just a quick post. Thanks for the visit.:)

Couples' Corner #1-Jennie and Josh

I'm Mommy Jennie from Philippines and you can call my hubby Josh (also from Philippines). We're currently living in Hatyai City, Thailand as ESL Teachers. We're entrusted by God to take care of a babbly baby Hyzyd who'll be turning one this month. As of to date, we're married for 1 year, 11 months, 3 weeks and 5 days already and we've been lovers 8 years, 1 month, 1 week and 5 days. We're classmates in college and we knew each other for 4 years before he courted me. The day I agreed to be his girlfriend ended my affiliation to NBSB group (No Boyfriend Since Birth)...he...he...Yeah, he's my first BF and the last and I'm glad for having him. We decided to get married after 6 years of relationship. They said I'm deeply philosophical ...I don't think so, I'm just thoughtful. I tend to analyze every aspect of my life. I'm intuitive and quite introverted. I can't help it but I value your time alone but I'm friendly, charming, and w

Hyzyd and his slot machine

As I posted here before that Hyzyd loves his slot machine when he's still 9 months old and almost fit the blue cylinder shape into its right slot. Just last Friday (October 2) he perfected his skill of fitting the blue cylinder shape to its slot. I'm glad I was there and was able to take a video.

Music and Hyzyd

As parents I would love to expose my baby to classical music at a young age. I believe that youngsters who have had this exposure have an advantage in academic abilities, self-esteem, and probably improved attitudes in general. Music helps us to make sense of the world. Through sound we can give an expressive shape to our experience. It is a pleasure and a joy for its own sake. The National Curriculum for music says, "As an integral part of culture, past and present, it helps pupils understand themselves and relate to others, forging important links between the home, school and the wider world." Good for Hyzyd that he has a musician uncle and a drummer dad. He loves both the guitar and drum. Guitar lessons with uncle He can also identify guitars on shirt! drum lessons with dad this is the way Hyzyd drums!:) can't resist to explore the real drums! Join us at Mommy Moments and share your ideas about music and your children.
