Back to himself

After the immunization/vaccination, Hyzyd is not feeling well. It's my first time to see him crying so hard...I felt that he's really in pain! I couldn't do anything to ease the pain he felt at that time. His face is sooo red and won't stop crying even what comfort I did to him. I almost brought to tears. I really prayed hard that God will touch Hyzyd. I'm carrying him with so much care, too afraid to touch his swollen leg. When his dad came into the room, we prayed for healing and then dad read the Bible to us. Hyzyd stopped crying and listened attentively to his dad reading. I was so relieved that his cry stopped though he won't let anyone touched or carried him except me. He slept soundly at 10:00 pm instead of his usual 7:30 pm sleeping schedule.

Today, he's back to himself...laughing when I do some visual jokes like hopping like a rabbit or barking like a dog, giggle when I tickles him and do his raspberry-blowing...I am so happy to see him this way:

I like Hyzyd to be held all the time while I'm at home on weekends and at the same time doing some minimal household chores. I read from the Baby Book of William and Martha Shears that using a baby carrier reduces crying and colic. A 1986 study of 99 mother-infant pairs (reported in Pediatrics) showed that carrying babies at least three hours a day reduces crying and fussing 43% during the day and 51% at night. Babies are happier because they have less need to cry, and parents enjoy their babies more as a result. This simply explains why Hyzyd is a happy baby. I don't have a problem with him. Carrying my baby promotes bonding and enhances my feelings of competence as a parent.
