My baby's plight....

Officially, I'm back to school...back to the old routine- wakes up at 5:00 am, fixes breakfast for the family (this includes Hyzyd's homemade healthy food for his breakfast and lunch besides his infant formula), and bathes the baby before sending him to his nanny. I fixed myself last for school.

When I went back home during lunch time, I received the sad news. My baby is crying the whole time he's with his nanny which didn't happen before. He's looking for me for the whole time! My brother who happened to visit us couldn't stand hearing his nephew crying. He decided to take care of the the baby for few hours until I arrived. Hearing the news breaks me into million pieces....

When I see him, his face radiates with unimaginable joy that only mothers could understand...Oh my poor baby!...For my one month vacation, he's already accustomed to see and listen to my voice 24/7- when he opens his eyes after sleeping, hear me singing lullabies, play with him, listen nursery songs and read with him...and suddenly he's with a new environment (no mommy around).

I talked to him about the need of his mom to work, why he should be with his nanny for few hours...I asked him not to cry when I'm at work because it makes me fret. Then we prayed.

Today, when I picked him up. He's still sleeping. So, I left and told the nanny that I'll pick him up when he's awaken (we're just 1 apartment away). After taking a few step, he called out for me..."ma-meh"...He's just waiting for me...I asked if he's OK, I'm glad that he's doing fine and not bawling as he did yesterday. I praise you Lord for comforting my baby.

advantages of using ergo baby carriers

I really find it very convenient to have a baby carrier . I could get things done around the house. I could do my rounds on shopping. We could eat in a restaurant without any hassles. I like Hyzyd to be held all the time while I'm at home on weekends and at the same time doing some minimal household chores. I read from the Baby Book of William and Martha Shears that using a baby carrier reduces crying and colic. A 1986 study of 99 mother-infant pairs (reported in Pediatrics) showed that carrying babies at least three hours a day reduces crying and fussing 43% during the day and 51% at night. Babies are happier because they have less need to cry, and parents enjoy their babies more as a result. This simply explains why Hyzyd is a happy baby. I don't have a problem with him. Carrying my baby promotes bonding and enhances my feelings of competence as a parent. A higher frequency of feeding and touching stimulates mothering hormones, and frequent carrying encourages and speeds the
