On your feet, baby Hyzyd!

Hyzyd can stand on his own but seems afraid or unsure of how to actually move. But today he surprised us all at my co-teacher's apartment. He pushed the chair and walk around with full confidence! It's our first time to witness him walking with that pace because at home he doesn't have much space to explore walking using a chair as his push-toy. When we let him try, he just walk a few steps and then crawls. This afternoon he enjoyed walking and it lasted for a couple of minutes which is pretty encouraging for us (I never mind that I'm "bathing" with sweat afterwards!).

Mommy Moments-Why Hyzvhann Hyzydyll?

The name of our son is Hyzvhann Hyzydyll (read as Hezvan Hezedel). Many are wondering how did we get the name, what does it mean and how to read it. Some jokingly commented that maybe I hate the vowels and some named him the consonant baby...he..he..he. The name was given by his grandfather (my father). We told him that it will be an honor for us if he could give the name of their first grandson. Actually, my father is the one who give us our names-from the eldest (it's me) 'till the 14th child (our youngest). We all have two given names like me I'm named after the combination of my parent's name-Benoni and Geneditha. The result is "Genebei" plus their chosen name for me, Faith = Genebei Faith . I noticed that all of us had great and unique names especially our youngest which is named Doxagennes Keilah . Each of our names has corresponding meanings. Hyzvhann is a modified name of the hebrew vocabulary Heshvan (Cheshvan). Heshvan (Cheshvan) or Mar Cheshvan ...

Mommy Moments-That's my dad!

October 23, 2007 marks the day of my hubby's first step to fatherhood. I'm sure he's someone whom my son wants to grow up to be like. I saw how he acted as a hero to my son, a guide and a friend. He is always there for me and my son with his unconditional love. That's Hyzyd's dad! The following pictures will prove how my son loves his dad and how his dad loves him so much. They're great blessings for me from Heaven above. Visit Mommy Moments to join this week's theme: "That's My Dad!
