Hyzyd and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

We went to the mall's bookstore yesterday and I let Hyzyd chose a magazine from the children's section. He chose Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with 3D paper models because he's familiar with it and he's watching the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse everyday.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a children's television series, that premiered in prime time on Disney Channel on May 5, 2006. The program is part of the Playhouse Disney daily block of shows intended for preschoolers.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto star in the series, which focuses on interacting with the viewer to stimulate problem solving. Ludwig Von Drake, Chip 'n Dale, Pete, Mr. Pettibone, Willie the Giant, Clarabelle Cow, Butch, Figaro the Kitten, Humphrey the Bear, Salty the Seal, Buzz-Buzz the Bee and Mortimer Mouse have made guest appearances.

Each episode has the characters help viewers "solve a specific age-appropriate problem utilizing basic skills, such as identifying shapes and counting through ten. The series uses Playhouse Disney’s "whole child" curriculum of cognitive, social and creative learning opportunities. Once the problem of the episode has been explained, Mickey invites viewers to join him at the Mousekadoer, a giant Mickey-head shaped computer whose main function is to distribute the day's Mousekatools - a collection of objects needed to solve the day's problem - to Mickey. Once the tools have been shown to Mickey on the Mousekadoer screen, they are quickly downloaded to Toodles - a small, Mickey-head shaped flying extension of the Mousekadoer. By calling, "Oh Toodles!" Mickey summons him to pop up from where he's hiding and fly up to the screen so that the viewer can pick which tool Mickey needs for the current situation. One of the tools is a "Mystery Mouskatool", which is a surprise tool represented by a question mark.

We asked his dad to build the clubhouse and it's characters. He's so excited about it that he picked the scissors to help his dad! I didn't notice it at first but on my second shot I was alarmed because he's already holding the scissors! What a boy! He can't wait for his Mickey Mouse!

Mommy Moments-Why Hyzvhann Hyzydyll?

The name of our son is Hyzvhann Hyzydyll (read as Hezvan Hezedel). Many are wondering how did we get the name, what does it mean and how to read it. Some jokingly commented that maybe I hate the vowels and some named him the consonant baby...he..he..he. The name was given by his grandfather (my father). We told him that it will be an honor for us if he could give the name of their first grandson. Actually, my father is the one who give us our names-from the eldest (it's me) 'till the 14th child (our youngest). We all have two given names like me I'm named after the combination of my parent's name-Benoni and Geneditha. The result is "Genebei" plus their chosen name for me, Faith = Genebei Faith . I noticed that all of us had great and unique names especially our youngest which is named Doxagennes Keilah . Each of our names has corresponding meanings. Hyzvhann is a modified name of the hebrew vocabulary Heshvan (Cheshvan). Heshvan (Cheshvan) or Mar Cheshvan ...

Hyzyd and the Berenstains' Bears

Hyzyd got new favorites week after week. Most of his favorites involves books. He's not really into toys and movies but books! This week he's into a new book titled "The Berenstain Bears and the Big Red Kite". Guess who's his favorite reader? His dad! He won't let me read it to him. Poor mommy!:( On the other, I'm quite relieved because Hyzyd is giving his dad a hard task...he..he...He won't let his dad go over to other pages. He wanted his dad to create stories after stories out from this illustration for as long as 30 minutes! LOL! I also enjoy the stories made up by his dad- stories that came from "out-of-nowhere". can you help us make more more stories out from this illustration? It seems that we're running out of ideas...LOL! an entry for
